EUNICE~Our hearts are filled with sorrow as the family announces the unexpected loss of Dustin Chase Thompson, a loving father, son, grandchild, brother, uncle and friend. He was 28. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Turkey Creek Cemetery with Father Sensat, Celebrant.
He was a wonderful person who was loved by everyone who knew him. He enjoyed fishing but most of all he loved time spent with his son. Chase’s memory will live on in all who knew him, especially his son, Kyrin Chase Martin; his parents, Kent Thompson of Eunice and Stephanie Lachney of Alexandria; his step mother, Donna Duplechin of Eunice; his paternal grandmother, Mae Manuel Austin of Eunice; his maternal grandparents, Herman and Jean Hogan of Alexandria; his three siblings, Tiffany Williams and husband, Timothy of Boyce, Hunter Futrell and wife, Christina of Alexandria and Destini Thompson of Eunice; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Delward Thompson.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, July 31 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and again on Saturday, August 1 from 8 a.m. until time of services. . Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6 p.m. on Friday.
Pallbearers will be Kent Thompson, Destini Thompson, Hunter Futrell, Eric Hogan, Brennen Hogan and Timothy Williams.
