OPELOUSAS ~ Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 28, 2017 at St. Mark United Methodist Church in Opelousas, LA, for Mr. Earl S. Milburn, Jr., 85, who entered eternal rest, January 20, 2017 at his residence in Opelousas, LA.
Interment will be in Green Chapel in the community of Little Teche. Rev. Junius Egby, Jr. will officiate at the service.
Mr. Milburn is survived by his children, a son, Craig A. Milburn (Jacqueline) of Opelousas, LA; six daughters, Cheryl Milburn of Opelousas, LA, Deborah French (Victor) of Las Vegas, NV, Charlene Chenier (Phillip), Mary Thomas (Floyd), Bonnie Labrie (Wayne) and Sylvia Johnson (Donald) all of Opelousas, LA; a brother, Curley Milburn (Joyce) of Opelousas, LA; six sisters, Marilyn Williams of Shreveport, LA, Carrie B. Hawkins (Richard) of Keithville, LA, Rose M. Hughes (Roosevelt) of Sacramento, CA, Constance M. Stringfellow (Bill) of Moreno Valley, CA; Diane Leath (Jimmy) of Greensboro, NC and Lula Chatman of Opelousas, LA; 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of extended family members and friends.
Mr. Milburn was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Ella Milburn; parents, Earl Milburn, Sr. & Carrie Simmons Milburn; a daughter, Jacqueline Glaze; a grandson, Ketni Thomas and a brother, Lawrence Milburn.
Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 am to 10:45 am Saturday, January 28, 2017 at St. Mark United Methodist Church.
