MAMOU – A private memorial service will be held for Elizabeth “Liz” LaFleur DesHotel, 65, who passed away peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
Elizabeth “Liz” LaFleur DesHotel, MSN, RN, was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her personality made her stand out.
Anyone who had the pleasure of truly knowing Liz saw how much of an amazing woman she was by her honesty, dedication, and genuine concern for others. Family, friends, co-workers, students and even strangers would describe her as hard-working, kind, compassionate, and selfless. Her greatest achievement was building her nursing career. Her most joyous moments in life were creating a warm and loving home, her safe haven for her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of forty-four years James “Ricky” DesHotel; her mother, Beverly LaFleur. Liz is lovingly remembered by daughter, Jessica Mier and spouse and Robin LeDoux and spouse; son, Joshua DesHotel and spouse; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, and three sisters.
She is preceded in death by her father, J.D. LaFleur and brother, Peter LaFleur.
