EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Emma Lou Dischler announces her passing on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Eunice Manor Nursing Home. She was 88. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 12:30 pm on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.
Emma was an elementary teacher in the Eunice area for 37 years. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, and in the past she enjoyed bowling, sewing and crocheting, and playing bingo. Emma will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her brother, Richard C. Dischler and wife, Dolores of Lafayette; sister in-law, Genevieve Dischler of Eunice; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Beulah LeDoux Dischler; brothers, Louis Dischler, Jr. and Donald Ray Dischler and his late wife, Anne; and sister, Anna Lou Dischler Fisher and her late husband, Joseph D.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, January 28th from 10:00 am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 12:00 pm by Deacon Gary Gaudin on Monday.
