Iota ~It is with great sadness that the family of Evelyn D. Trumps announces her passing on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the Eunice Extended Care Hospital at the age of 90. A Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at the St. Joseph Cemetery in Iota with Father Jude Thierry officiating.
Evelyn was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a loving, open minded and humble person who was easy to talk too. She loved to do crossword puzzles. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her seven children, Travis Trumps and wife, Zszua of Lafayette, Stephen Trumps and wife, Vicky of Crowley, Sadie Trumps of Eunice, Lisa Sinclair and husband, Bill of Arizona, Christine Trumps of Eunice , Nancy Trumps of Eunice and Truman “Bubby” Trumps, Jr of Alexandria; one brother, Thomas ‘Tom” Dietz and wife, Anna Mae of Iota; twenty four grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Truman John Trumps; son, Frederick Trumps; daughter, Judith Paul; her parents, William Gottlieb and Mary Louise Muller Dietz and her seven siblings.
