EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Everette John Dozart announces his passing on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Acadian Medical Center at the age of 76.
A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.
Everette served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He loved fishing, hunting, trapping and just being outdoors.
He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend, and will be missed by all, especially his children, Jeff Dozart and wife, Jill of Lake Charles, and daughter, Kim Dozart Falkenheiner and husband, Charles of Vidalia; sisters, Shirlene Burrows and husband, Rick of Midland, TX, Wanda Smith and husband, David of Lafayette, Rosie Dozart of Eunice, and Angie Luke of Thibodeaux; four grandchildren, Nicole Falkenheiner, Dylan Dozart, Katharine F. King, and Emily Dozart; two great grandchildren, Kyson Dozart and Luca Dozart; other children’s lives he touched include, Tommy Bolfer of Texarkana, AR, Hilda Deville of New Roads, and Kim Bonfiglio of Baton Rouge; and extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Alice R. Dozart; parents, Lynn Dozart and Clarice Bertrand; and siblings Terry and Lynn Dozart, Jr.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, December 26th from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Thursday, December 27th from 9:00 am until time of services.
