Eunice-On Friday, July 23, 2021, Glen Allen Francis Weideman, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend passed away at The Carpenter House in Lafayette at the age of 72.
A Celebration of Glen’s life will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin, officiating.
Glen enjoyed tending to his garden and was retired from H. Brown Machine Shop after 52 years of dedicated employment.
He will be forever remembered by his daughter, Crystal Moore of Utah; sister, Joan Weideman Fruge and husband, Clifford of Basile; five grandchildren, Destiny Vige, Lizzida Faul, Devin Ashworth, Aile Moore and Eli Moore and three great-grandchildren, Paytonn, Harleigh and Maddox. He will also be forever remembered by his nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ortego Weideman, parents, Francis and Elise Guidry Weideman; four stepchildren, James Craig Faul, Angela Ashworth, Patrick Faul and Christoper Faul and a sister, June Weideman Young.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, July 26 from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. and again on Tuesday, July 27 from 8 a.m. until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6 p.m. on Monday.
