EUNICE~With much sorrow, we announce the passing of Hillary Jordan who peacefully slipped away in his 87th year with his loving family by his side at Eunice Manor on Sunday, February 26, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 02, 2017 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mallet. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Ann Cemetery with Father Aubespin Celebrant.
Hillary a resident of Basile was known to everyone as having the biggest heart, he enjoyed cooking and he was such a joy to be around. But most of all he was a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten by his son, Jim Jordan of Ragley; his two daughters, Joyce Darbonne and husband, Frank of Swords and Cheryl Gobert and husband, Daniel of Elton; a daughter-in-law, Laura Jordon; a son-in-law, Albert Fiallos of Virginia Beach, VA. He also leaves his brother, Lester Jordan of Lake Arthur; his eleven grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Erena Jordan; two sons, John Ray Jordon and David Dowayne Jordan; and daughter, Mary Fiallos; grandson, Brandon Jordan and daughter-in-law, Ruby Jordan; parents, Simon and Alzina Guillory Jordan; six brothers and six sisters.
At the request of the family visitation will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church on Thursday, March 2nd from 8:00 am until time of services.
