It is with great sadness that the family of Irene Gonzalez Thomas announces her passing on Thursday, April 25 at 7 a.m. at her residence in Eunice. She was 76.
A memorial service will be celebrated on Friday, May 10 at from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Frank Brothers Chapel in Eunice. Pastor Chris Frye of New Hope Fellowship in Eunice will officiate.
Irene enjoyed attending church until her health failed, baking, cooking, caring for her children, and spending time with her family and friends.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, especially her son Zachery Thomas Jr. of Eunice, two daughters Loretta Mares and Marina Harris, both of Eunice, 20 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Rejino and Soledad Gonzalez, her husband Zachery Thomas Sr., one son James Cox, one daughter Rosalena Thomas, five brothers George, Eleno, Manuel, Danny and Robert Gonzalez and one sister Rosa Roque.
Frank Brothers Funeral Home in Eunice is in charge of all arrangements.
