EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ivy S. Fruge announces her passing on Friday, June 22, 2018 in the comfort of her home at the age of 97. A Rosary will be recited at 1:30 pm followed by a Mass of Christian Burial which will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Entombment will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Msgr. Romero Celebrant.
Ivy was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will always be remembered by those who knew and loved her. Precious memories of her will remain forever in the hearts of her children; Frederick "Freddie" John Fruge, Sr. and wife, Lauren of Eunice and Mona Raye Fruge of Lafayette; her three grandchildren, Frederick "Lil Freddie" John Fruge, Jr and wife, Kelly, John Heath Fruge and Elizabeth Kaye Fruge; her great grandchild, Vivian Claire Fruge; as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Cedric Joseph Fruge; her parents, Eluis and Louisa Fontenot Soileau and four siblings.
