EUNICE-It is with great sadness that the family of Jack George announces his passing on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at The Carpenter House in Lafayette at the age of 75. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Pastor Travis Turner officiating.
Jack proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping, as well as horseback riding and working cattle with his friends. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, and will be missed dearly by his wife of 44 years, Charlene H. George of Eunice; his sons, Jake George and wife, Catherine of College Station, TX, Mike George and wife, Michelle of Eunice, and Curt George and wife, Holly of New Bern, NC; sister, Sylvia George Snowden of Jasper, TX; step sister, Joy Miller and husband, Daniel of Roanoke; six grandchildren, Jacob, Ian, Kaleb, Garrett, Connor, and Elizabeth George, as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie and Ferna Mae Deshotel George; and sister, Patsy Clement.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and again on Friday, April 19, 2019 from 8:00 am until time of services.
