It is with great sadness that the family of James Allen “Bone” Dupre announces his passing on Wednesday, May 20 at 1:55 p.m. at Eunice Manor Nursing Home. He was 73.
A celebration of life will be celebrated on Thursday, May 28 at 9 a.m. at Frank Brothers Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Southwest LA Veterans Cemetery in Jennings with Rev. Allen W. Ben of New Zion Baptist Church officiating.Visitation will be from 8 until 9 a.m. Thursday, May 28 at Frank Brothers Funeral Home.
James enjoyed attending church, cooking, working and spending time with his family, relatives and friends.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife Theresa Dupre of Eunice, two sons, Michael Walker of Houston, Texas, and Patrick Dupre of Eunice; two daughters, Dwanetta Debriel Scott (Daniel) of Eunice, and Lori Bushnell (Demond) of Eunice; seven brothers, Michael Dupre (Maxine) of Eunice, Frederick Dupre of Brusly, Kenneth Dupre Sr. (Hilma) of Eunice, Donald Dupre (Wilma) of Eunice, Calvin Dupre (Bonnie) of Stafford, Texas, Ted Dupre (Mary) of Eunice and Bennie Dupre (Henrietta) of Eunice; two sisters, Celena Joseph (Hollis) of Houma, and Jacqueline Mouton (Risley) of Maurice, 16 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Hayward and Gladys Dupre Sr. and one sister Charlotte Booms.
Pall bearers will be Darius Dupre, Darien Dupre, Corey Joseph, Ron Dupre, Don Dupre and M. J. Fontenot.
Frank Brothers Funeral Home in Eunice is in charge of all arrangements.
