EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts that the family of James H. Duplechain announces his passing on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at the Basile Care Center at the age of 70. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.
James, known as Jimmie, proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War era. He was retired from being an oilfield truck driver. James was a loving brother, uncle, and friend and will be missed by his three siblings, Brenda Macri of Eunice, Sharon Kyle of Eunice, and Larry Duplechain of Vinton; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hinckley and Leta Deville Duplechain; and brother, Gary Duplechain.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, July 29th from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Tuesday, July 30th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm on Monday.
