EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of James Raven Dupre announces his passing on Saturday, April 13, 2019 in the comfort of his home with loving family by his side. He was 78. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Msgr. Romero Celebrant.
A proud veteran, James served in the United States Airforce. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. He had over fifty five loving years with his wife, Joyce Christ Dupre of Eunice; a wonderful father to three lovely children, Mary Laure Brecher and husband, Benjamin of Santa Barbara, CA, Dale Anne Dupre of Eunice and Christine Marie LeBlanc and husband, Damon of Angel Fire, NM; a wonderful and loving grandfather to fourteen grandchildren, Audrey and Kate Brecher, Colton and Dominic Dupre, Wyatt Kennedy, Bridget, Gideon and Rose Gorham, Aidan, Alexandra, Ava, Anna, Arrington and Amelia LeBlanc; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Ruby LeJeune Dupre and a brother Richard Dupre.
