It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of James Stephen “Steven” LeBlanc announces his passing on November 2, 2018, in Florida at the age of 67. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice with Deacon David Guillory officiating.
Steven was a 1969 graduate of Eunice High School and attended LSU-Eunice, McNeese State University and University of Houston. He retired after forty two years with KBR formerly Brown & Root, Inc. He traveled internationally as Senior Estimator of Projects. He was a longtime resident of Houston but after retirement he moved to New Port Richey, Florida. Steven was a avid card player and enjoyed the competition of any games.  He also loved dogs and especially Dallas, his Yorkie
Steven will be remembered as a wonderful, husband, father, son, grandfather and friend. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Taylor LeBlanc of New Port Richey, FL; his parents, J. O. and Lila Thomas LeBlanc of Eunice; his daughter, Rachel LeBlanc Hobbs and husband, Wes of White Oaks, TX; his adopted son, Ruben LeBlanc of Houston; his step daughter, Donna Maxwell of Nevada; his sister, Susan LeBlanc of Opelousas; and the two joys of his life his grandchildren, Hailey and Ethan Hobbs of White Oaks, TX; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James V. and Ida Sprague Thomas and paternal grandparents, Willis P. and Hilda Martin LeBlanc.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to MD Anderson, United Yorkie Rescue or charity of your choice.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Saturday, December 15, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
