All held him in the highest regard and loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jeffery James Hebert, Sr. and his sister Karen Sanders.
Born in Mamou on January 11, 1958 to Carol Louise Dupre’ and Jeffery James Hebert, Sr. Jeff spent his early years in Eunice working on the farm, graduating St. Edmund High School 1977, eventually moving to Baton Rouge where he lived out his life.
For over 40 years, Jeff was in the automotive tire business turning customers into lifelong friends with his most recent position as Assistant Director of Fleet Services for the City of Baton Rouge. He was an active member of the Catholic High Men’s Club – lighting up the grill for over thirty years. He proudly served as a Minister of the Eucharist at St. Jean Vianney.
His love of the Saints, LSU, cooking, boat rides at the camp and letting AJ captain was only surpassed by his undying love for his family. There was never a doubt he could be found cutting a rug on the dance floor, or packing for his annual trips to the beach. Jeff’s steadfast faith will continue to live through all who knew and loved him.
Jeffery was a committed husband of forty years to his high school sweetheart, a proud father, the ultimate grandfather, a loving son and brother, an ideal friend and a light to everyone he met. His ever-present smile was infectious and he without a doubt loved every single minute of every day.
Pallbearers will be Gregory Richard, Blaine Ardoin, Kenny Bourgeois, David Bollich, John Fruge’, Matthew Miller, Robert H. Miller, Jr., Stephen Salopek, Jr., MD.
