EUNICE — It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Jessie Daigle, of Eunice, announces the unexpected loss of a beloved father, brother, grandfather and friend, who passed away on Jan. 17, 2022. He was 84. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 10 am on Friday, Jan. 21, 2022, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin, officiating.
Jessie was born in Church Point on Feb. 6, 1937, to John and Rosa Richard Daigle. He was a retired operator from the oilfield. He loved to fish and garden, but most of all he loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Jessie will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He left his loving memories to be cherished by his six children, Timothy Daigle and wife, Pam of Hughes Springs, Texas, Anthony Daigle and Gary Daigle both of Eunice, Dannon Fontenot of Eunice, Garon Lanclos and wife, Elsa of Victorville, California, and Sharon West of Eunice; his three brothers, George Daigle of Picayune, Mississippi, Frank and Albert Daigle of Belle Chasse, Cherry Goodfred of North Carolina, Theresa Kelly of Houston; his nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; his longtime friend, Margie Guillory; as well as extended family and friends.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, son, Charles Arabie; brothers, Raymond, Tommy, Gerald, Larry and John Daigle and two sisters, Enola Jagneaux, Fannie Doucet and Dorothy Dupre
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, Jan. 20 from 1 to 9 p.m. and again on Friday, Jan. 21, from 8 a.m. until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday.
