EUNICE- It is with heavy hearts that the family of John Frame announces his passing on Saturday, April 21, 2018 in the comfort of his home with his wife and family by his side. He was 76. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00am on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Austin Leger Celebrant.
John proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard for six years. He was a genuine, loving and giving person who enjoyed spending as much time as he could with his friends, family and his wife, Ruth always by his side. In his free time he enjoyed cooking, working around the house, word puzzles, visiting with friends, spending time with his grandchildren and special great granddaughter Ava. In the Fall, he enjoyed watching LSU and Saints football. John was a devoted family man and made friends wherever he went. He was a very patient, kind and gentle soul. John was a true, Cajun gentleman who will be remembered for his faith, family and friends. He was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife of 53 years, Ruth D. Frame of Swords; son, A. Troy Frame and wife, Cathy of Youngsville; daughter, Melissa Manuel and significant other, Todd Caswell of Lafayette; twin brother, Lester Frame and wife Patsy of Opelousas; brother, Wayne Frame and wife, Pam of Natchitoches, five grandchildren, Brooklyn Caswell, Scott Frame, Alex Caswell, Kelly Frame, and Haylee Caswell; and one great granddaughter, Ava Caswell; as well extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Pearl Sonnier Frame.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, April 23rd from 3:00pm until 9:00pm, and on Tuesday, April 24th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:00pm on Monday.
The family would like to give special thanks to Karen Stelly, Regina Clark and all the staff of Community Hospice. They provided nurturing care and support for both Ruth and John.
