Johnny Joseph Bazare, Jr. age 81, of White Hall, died Saturday, February 3, 2018.
A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 2:00 pm at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, February 09, 2018 with burial to follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.
Born November 18, 1936 at Eunice, LA, he was a son of the late Johnny Joseph Bazare Sr. and Pearl Myers Bazare. He graduated from Eunice High School in 1955, then earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Bacteriology at Southwestern Louisiana Institute.
Johnny enlisted in the United States Army in 1959 and became stationed at the Pine Bluff Arsenal in 1963. He continued after his service as a civil service employee at the Arsenal and later at NCTR as a microbiologist, retiring after 30 years of service.
Mr. Bazare attended both St. Peter and St. Joseph Catholic Churches.
Johnny was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed both hunting and fishing and never missed a squirrel season. He was also a lifelong LSU Tigers fan.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Rudy Bazare.
Survivors include his children, Christopher (Kathy) Bazare of Lakeland, TN and Melany Bazare (Michael Skahill) of Pleasant Valley, Iowa; three grandchildren, Michael Bazare, Seth Skahill, and Greison Skahill; and two great-grandchildren, Brayden Bazare and Preston Bazare.
There will be a Vigil Service Wednesday, February 7, 2018, 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Cranford Funeral Home in White Hall with Deacon Noel F. “Bud” Bryant officiating, with a visitation to follow at 5:30 p.m.
A visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home on Friday, February 09, 2018 from 1:00 pm until time of services.
