It is with great sadness that the family of Johnny Ray Jordan announces his passing on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 11:18 a.m. at Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He was 73.
A celebration of life will be celebrated on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 10 a.m. at Frank Brothers Funeral Home in Eunice.
Interment will be at the Southwest LA Veterans Cemetery in Jennings.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 19 from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Frank Brothers Funeral Home.
Johnny enjoyed cooking, playing dominoes, fishing, dancing, watching Western movies and spending time with his family and friends.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his spouse Velma Jordan of Eunice, his sons, Jermaine Jordan of Iowa, Shane Jordan of Carencro, Benjamin Jordan, Donavon Jordan, both of Eunice, and Devin Jordan of Broussard, his daughters, Phyllis Richard of Lafayette, Catina Jordan of Scott, Lotoya Jordan, Brittany Frank, both of Eunice, and Briana Pitre of Lake Charles, a brother, Jimmy Banks of Houston, Texas; 16 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Bertha Jordan, a sister Ethelrine Johnson.
Pall bearers will be Benjamin Jordan, Donavon Jordan, Devin Jordan, Bradley Jordan, Rodney Frank and Hilman Richard Jr.
Frank Brothers Funeral Home in Eunice is in charge of all arrangements.
