Joyce Dupre Duplechain was born on December 19, 1932 to Walter and Felecia Dupre. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Her devotion to family was apparent every day. This is where she left her legacy of faith in God, service to others and love for all. Joyce was a very devout catholic who served the lord and prayed her rosary daily. Sunday dinners were important to her and her family. She would cook her amazing purple hull peas and pecan pies and there was always plenty of leftovers. When speaking with Mrs. Joyce, it was apparent that her children and grandchildren were the light of her life.
She is survived by loving husband of 69 years, Stagg Duplechain; sons, Ray Duplechain and wife Mona, Timmy Duplechain and fiance’ Janet, and Neil Duplechain and wife Suzanne; daughters, Sherry Ross and husband Bill and Sandra Vidrine and husband Steven; grandchildren, Kaera Doucet, Shanna Dupre, Zoe Duplechain, Kyle Ross, Candice Ross, Kade Kelley, Addison Duplechin, Kirk Vidrine, Travis Vidrine, Kristie Mayeux, Danyelle Lafleur, Hannah Coward, Samantha Fontenot, Matt Guillory; numerous great-grandchildren; and brother Farrel Dupre.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Felecia Dupre; and sisters, Lilly May
Fontenot) and Mercedes West.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou on Sunday, August 18, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM.
