EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jude L. Miller, Sr. announces his passing on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 64. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:30 pm on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial to follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon David Guillory officiating.
Jude was an avid fisherman, hunter, and outdoorsman. He was retired from the oilfield as a General Manager and ran the I.E Miller terminal in Eunice for many years. In his youth, he set many records in high school football, and later was a member of the Eunice Men's Tennis team. Above all, he loved being with his family, spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him, especially his wife of 44 years, Ann McGee Miller of Eunice; his son, Jude Miller, Jr. of Eunice; his daughters, Kathryn Laughlin and husband, Sean of Kingwood, TX, and Laura Montz and husband, Will of Lafayette; and six grandchildren, Lexy Miller, Joe Miller, and Colin Miller, all of Basile, Taylor Montz of Lafayette, Lily Laughlin and Julia Laughlin, both of Kingwood, TX.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Antionette Leonards Miller.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, December 19th from 10:00 am until time of service. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 3:00 pm.
