Kaleb Michael Manuel

MAMOU–Funeral services was held at 12:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Saturday, September 18, 2021, for Kaleb Michael Manuel, 30, who passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Father Billy Massie, Pastor of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, was the celebrant of the Mass and conduct funeral services.
Burial will take place in New St. Ann’s Cemetery.
Kaleb Michael Manuel was born on October 10, 1990, in Eunice, to Chad E. Manuel, Sr. and Veronica Doucet Manuel.
He was a 2009 graduate of Mamou High School, where he played football and baseball. Kaleb “Mamou” Manuel spent two years pitching at LSU-Eunice and then went on to play baseball at Southeastern Louisiana University where he met his wife, Courtney.
After graduating college, he went on to coach baseball at the collegiate and high school level. Throughout his life Kaleb had a positive impact on the lives of his teammates and the players he coached. He was an amazing mentor and role model. He was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. His family and friends will miss him dearly but rejoice in knowing he is celebrated in heaven.
He is survived by his loving wife of seven years, Courtney Harris Manuel; parents, Chad E. Manuel, Sr. and Veronica Doucet Manuel; brother, Chad E. Manuel, Jr. and wife, Saki of Tokyo, Japan; sisters, Misty Manuel Arnold and husband, Michael of Mamou and Abigael Manuel Triplett and husband, Josh of Reddell; maternal grandmother, Peggy Doucet of Ville Platte; in-laws, Joseph Harris and Holly Harris of Pearl River; and four nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Joseph Doucet, Sr., and paternal grandparents, Gene and Cherrie Manuel.
At the request of the family, visitation was held on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou from 8 a.m. until service time. A rosary was prayed in his honor at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
