EUNICE ~ On Wednesday, May 20, 2020, Kasey Gerard Leger passed away suddenly at age 29. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3 p.m. on Monday, May 25, 2020 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial will follow in the St. Lawrence Cemetery with Father Hampton Davis officiating.
Kasey was a native of Mowata and a resident of Columbia, SC, who was an avid reader and had a passion for art. He was described by his friends as such a funny and unique person with a great spirit. Kasey loved the time he was able to spend with all of his family. He was a loving son, brother and friend whose memory will live on in all who loved him, especially his loving parents, Jeffery and Bridget Leger of Eunice; paternal grandparents, John and Loretta Zaunbrecher Kurta of Mowata; and his brother, Brandon Leger of Mowata. He also leaves other family members and many friends who will sadly miss him.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Billy and Josie Olivier Duhon and his paternal grandfather, Frederick Leger.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, May 25, 2020 from 9 a.m. until 2:45 p.m.
