BASILE~God called another angel home. The family of Katheline Jean DeRousell Henry wishes to announce her passing on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at The Carriage House Assisted Living at the Verandah in Lake Charles with her loving family by her side. She was 81. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Basile with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.
She was a beautician and owner of Jean’s Beauty Shop for 38 years. She was a very kind and loving woman who never met a stranger and welcomed everyone with a home cooked meal. She enjoyed traveling, camping, 4 wheeler riding, the casino and loved to cook but what she loved and lived for was spending time with her loving family. Jean will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her two loving daughters, Teresa Renee Henry Hebert and her husband, Randall and Rachel Ann Henry Miller all of Lake Charles; her four grandchildren, Cody James Miller, Hunter Sevan Hebert, Michael Quinn Miller and Jackie Katelynn Hebert and a sister, Fay Duhon and husband, Gilmer of Sulphur.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jackie Ray Henry; her parents, Cajun and Carrie Chapman DeRousell.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Basile on Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 10:00am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 2:30 pm Sunday.
