IOTA~A wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Kathleen B. Miller will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Kathleen died on Monday, August 28, 2017 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 80. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery with Father Jude Thierry Celebrant.
Kathleen was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten by her five children, Katherine Wilson of Krotz Springs, Susanne Trahan and husband, John of Leroy, William Wayne Miler of Iota, Jessica Comeaux and husband, J.C. of Rayne and Nicholas Roy Miller of Iota; her brother, Clarence Brown of Crowley; two sisters, Laura Brown and Mildred Brown both of Crowley; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Roy Miller; her son, Daniel Miller and her parents, Edward and Rosie Lee Austin Brown; two brothers, Walter and David Brown; and two sisters, Alice B. Weldon and Noralee B. Schexnider.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Iota on Wednesday, August 30th from 1:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Thursday, August 31st from 8:00am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm Wednesday.
