EUNICE~It is with the heaviest hearts that the family of Kenneth “Ken” Wayne Cooper announces his passing on Monday, April 17, 2017 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 68.
A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Eunice, Friday, April 21, 2017, with Pastor Tim Moffett officiating.
Kenneth known to many as “Ken” was a 1966 graduate of Eunice High School. He is a retired District Manager at Texas Gas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, a member of the choir and was involved in various church committees. There are no words to describe Ken. He was a man of great honor, good natured and enjoyed the outdoors, boating and road trips but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He will be sadly missed but never forgotten by his loving wife of forty nine years, Lewana Wagner Cooper of Eunice; his wonderful mother, Annie Mae Cooper of Eunice; he cherished his three grandsons who lovingly called him “Papa”, Seth Allen, Zachary Kenneth and Tanner Broc Cooper, all of Ragley; his brother, Keith Cooper and wife, Patricia of Idaho; sisters, Nikki C. Fruge and husband, Archie of Moss Bluff and Yvonne C. Babineaux of Boerne, TX; his sister-in-law, Carla Wagner Soileau and husband, Greg of Eunice; daughter-in-law, Jenifer Cooper Schysm of Ragley; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son, David Chad Cooper; father, Chester Cooper; and his in laws, Herman and Aline Wagner.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at First Baptist Church in Eunice from 9:00 am until time of services.
