It is with great sadness that the family of Lee Ester Alfred announces her passing on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at 10:55 a.m. in Alexandria. She was 88.
A celebration of life will be celebrated on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Baptist Church in Mamou with interment following at St. Paul Cemetery in Mamou. The Reverend Albert Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until time of service at the St. Paul Baptist Church in Mamou.
Lee was known for her cooking, fishing, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her sons James Fontenot (Edna) of Alexandria, George Davis of Alexandria and Levy Davis (Michelle) of Eunice; her brothers Wilson Fontenot and Wilfred Fontenot, both of Houston; a sister Hazel Harris of Mamou, 10 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers.
Pall bearers will be John Mitchell, Terrance Hall, Lonnie Hall, Elwood Terry, Amorick Terry and Clevin Jones.
Frank Brothers Funeral Home in Eunice is in charge of all arrangements.
