It is with great sadness that the family of Lena “Ma-Ma” M. Dupre Rougeau announces her passing on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at 11:34 a.m. at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Eunice. She was 56.
A celebration of life will be celebrated on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. at New Zion Bapist Church in Eunice with interment following at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Eunice. The Reverend Allen W. Ben will officiate. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at New Zion Baptist Church.
Lena was known for her cooking, baking, eating out, clowning, and spending time with her family and friends.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her mother Lillie Mae Dupre of Eunice, her special friend Alton Moore of Shreveport, her son Ray A. Rougeau Jr. of Eunice, daughters Amanda R. Rougeau of Eunice, Anglique R. Rougeau of Eunice and Mylissa R. Rougeau of Opelousas; her brothers Kevin Dupre Sr. of Oberlin, Charlie Dupre Sr. of Eunice, Albert Dupre Jr. of Eunice, Lee Dupre of Eunice, Joseph Dupre of Eunice, Frank Dupre of Eunice, John Dupre of Eunice, David Dupre Sr. of Lake Charles, and one sister Linda Dupre of Lake Charles.
She is preceded in death by paternal and maternal grandparents, her father Albert Dupre Sr., two sons Ray Rougeau III, and Quincy Rougeau, two brothers George Dupre Sr. and Marvin Dupre Sr.
Pall bearers will be David Dupre Sr., Kevin Dupre Sr., Charlie Dupre Sr., Charlie McKenzie, Jerwasky Thomas and Ray Rougeau Jr.
Frank Brothers Funeral Home in Eunice is in charge of all arrangements.
