Lillie Ann Fontenot passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the age of 77. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Sal Istre celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
At the request of family, visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home with a Rosary at 5:30 p.m. by Deacon Gary Gaudin. Visitation will resume on Thursday at 8 a.m. until time of Services.
During her 29 year career at The Woman’s Clinic, Lillie greeted thousands of patients with a friendly face and a smile. A devout Catholic, she was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Throughout her life, she enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband of 58 years. She loved cooking for her family. Her grandchildren always requested that she bake their favorite banana cake. During holidays, she poured over her collection of cookbooks to find a new recipe to try. Of the many joys in her life, her favorite moments were those spending time with her family and friends, never missing a birthday or an opportunity to cheer on her grandchildren at a sporting event, play or recital. She will be deeply missed.
Lillie is survived by her husband, Terry Fontenot; two sons, Jude Fontenot and wife Michelle, Neil Fontenot; one brother, Allie Fontenot, Jr. and wife Pat; seven grandchildren, Patrick, Nicholas, Maddie, Maggie, Gabe, Cailyn, Phillip and many more family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allie Fontenot, Sr. and Dollie Belle Quirk Fontenot; her son, Patrick Fontenot; one brother, Douglas Fontenot.
