RAYNE - A Mass of Christian Burial for Linda Ann Istre, 69, will be celebrated on Monday, Jan. 14, 2019, at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rayne. Father Christopher Cambre, Associate Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will serve as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery No. 2 Mausoleum, Rayne.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Jan. 13, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary being recited at 6 p.m. in Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne. Visitation will continue on Monday, Jan. 14, from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
Ms. Istre passed away on Saturday, Jan. 12, in a Lafayette hospital.
Survivors include her spouse, Gregory LaFosse of Rayne; son, Ryan Istre of Houston; brothers, Ernest Istre and wife Liz of Llano, Texas, John Istre Sr. and wife Nell of Crowley, Ervis Istre of Rayne, and Lawrence Istre and wife Vicky of Crowley; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding Ms. Istre in death were her parents, Celestin Istre and Beatrice Dupont Istre, and brother, Stephen Istre.
