EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Lisa Chaumont announces her passing on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at the Oaklane Wellness and Rehabilitation Center in Eunice. She was 52. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Lawrence Cemetery with Father Joseph Tran, Celebrant.
Lisa dedicated herself to the love and care of her family. She had a kind spirit and big heart. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 34 years, Gregory Chaumont of Eunice; sons, Gregory Chaumont, II and wife, Bethany, and Andrew Chaumont, all of Eunice; daughter, Kasey Andrepont and husband, Chad of Eunice; brother, Matthew Joseph and wife, Bridget of Mowata; sisters, Lenaya Wheeler of Jacksonville, FL, Naomi Reed and husband, Brent of Iota, Elizabeth Zaunbrecher and husband, Phillip of Rayne, and Elsie Lane and husband, Robert of Iowa; grandchildren, Hendrix, Scarlett, Maxwell, and Simon Andrepont; as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Darlene Soderstrom Joseph; and brother, Joseph Charles Joseph, II.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, August 12th from 12:00 pm until 10:00 pm, and again on Tuesday, August 13th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Monday evening by Deacon Dennis Lacroix.
