EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the loss of their loved one, Lou Arnaud Fontenot on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the Magnolia Estates Nursing Home in Lafayette at the age of 83.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 15, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Pastor Tim Moffett officiating.
Lou loved many things in life including sewing, baking, and arts and crafts. She enjoyed reading and entertaining her family. She also loved her church and the Christmas season by decorating and cooking.
She is survived by her sons, Jimmie Fontenot of Rayne, and Nolton “Chuck” Fontenot of Carencro; daughter, Becky Aucoin of Carencro; brother, Johnny Arnaud and wife, Shirley of Houston, TX; sister, Mable Healy of Alexandria; five grandchildren, Marissa McBride, Melanie Guillory, Chuck Riviere, Jon Riviere, and Jessica Fontenot; nine great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nolton J. Fontenot; parents, Archille and Aphrozeina Huval Arnaud; and ten siblings.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, November 14th from 12 noon until 9:00 pm and again on Friday, November 15th from 8:00 am until time of services.
