EUNICE–It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Mary Alice LeDoux Fruge’ announces her passing on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Oak Lane Wellness and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 89.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of Mary at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Istre, Celebrant.
Mary was born in Eunice on April 19, 1932, to Hiram and Amelia Miller LeDoux. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family and she loved to work in the community. She was a devout member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice and she volunteered as a religion teacher and the Church fall festive as well as a member of the Catholic Charismatic Prayer Group.
She was a prayer warrior and was always praying for her family. She was a loving and caring Christian woman, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
Mary will be forever remembered by her son, Cleveland Fruge’, Jr and wife, Pam of Eunice; daughters, Deborah “Yogi” Sittig and husband, J.D. “Bunskie” of Eunice and Candace Faith Fruge’ of Springfield, Mo, brother, J.C. LeDoux and wife, Thelma of Eunice; sister, Elaine LeDoux Moore Oge of Eunice. The joys of her life her grandchildren, Nikki Johnson and husband, Dave of Eunice, Ashley Sonnier and husband, Jason of Basile, Kim Breaux and husband, Jarrod of Iota, Joseph “Jody” Sittig III and wife, Shelly of Eunice, Ryan Sittig and wife, Teri of Eunice, Adrian and Alaya Fruge’ of Springfield, Mo. and fifteen great grandchildren Bailey Bertrand and husband, Austin, Tyler Joseph Breaux, Adrian Fruge’, Gracie Fournet, Andre’ Johnson, Ashton Breaux, Cade Sittig, Luc Johnson, Jacob Sittig, Alaya Fruge’, Julee Johnson, John-Wesley Sonnier, Lauren Sittig, Bryce Breaux, Addison Sittig and one great great grandchild, Grahm Breaux. She will also be forever remembered by extended family and dear friends. She left us with warm memories to fill our hearts.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Joseph Fruge, Sr and her parents.
At the request of family visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice, on Tuesday, November 9 from 10 a.m. until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will lead a Rosary at 12 noon.
