EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mary Katheryn Simmons announces her passing on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes in Lafayette. She was 73. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice. Entombment will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Pastor Perry Hubbs officiating.
Kathy was a hairdresser for 50 plus years, but most importantly she was a loving mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. Left to cherish her memories, her two daughters, Alexandra Simmons and Erin Simmons Ferguson and husband, Dominick all of Eunice; her six grandchildren, Aaliyah, Mark, Alyssa and Matthew McGee, Kirk Simmons and Juiliana Ferguson; as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Roy Simmons; her parents, Ray and Sis Cain; her two brothers, Robert "Bobby" Eugene Frulla and Johnny "Butch" Frulla.
At the request of the Simmons family, visitation will be at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 9:00 am until time of services.
