It is with great sadness that the family of Mervin Mitchell announces his passing on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 at 10:12 a.m. at his residence in Eunice. He was 70.
A celebration of life will be celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Frank Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice.
Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chataignier with Evangelist Mrs. Linda Lewis officiating. Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020 at Frank Brothers Funeral Home.
Mervin enjoyed cooking, fishing, watching his favorite TV shows and spending time with his family, relatives and friends.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his daughter, Jalisa R. Bell of Opelousas, his brothers, Ervis Mitchell Jr., Lionel Mitchell, Jerome Mitchell, Daniel Mitchell, all of Eunice; LeRound Mitchell of Stochbridge, Georgia, Leroy Mitchell of Eunice, Gilbert Mitchell of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Austine Mitchell of Seattle, Washington, and Joseph Lewis of Las Vegas, Nevada; his sisters, Geneva George of St. Martinville, Linda Lewis, Patricia Mitchell, and Reva Lewis, all of Eunice.
He is preceded in death by his wife Ethel Bell Mitchell, his parents Ervis Mitchell Sr. and Hazel Frank Mitchell, and one sister Naomi Greene.
Pall bearers will be Ervis Mitchell Jr., Lionel Mitchell, Jerome Mitchell, Daniel Mitchell, LeRound Mitchell, and Leroy Mitchell.
Frank Brothers Funeral Home in Eunice is in charge of all arrangements.
