It is with great sadness that the family of Mrs. Leona Gobert announces her passing on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 1:40 a.m. at Oak Lane Wellness & Rehabilitation Center in Eunice. She was 86.
A celebration of life will be celebrated on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 10 a.m. at St. Mathilda Catholic Church with the Rev. D. Blaine Clement officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mathilda Cemetery in Eunice.
Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. until 9:40 a.m. Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Frank Brothers Funeral Home with a Rosary recited at 9 a.m.
Leona was known for her church attendance, cooking, baking, traveling and spending time with her family, extended relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Armantine Vigers, her husband, Willis Gobert, three sisters, Eva Arvie, Antonia Green and Jinnie L. Poullard, four brothers, Douglas, Harry, Launey, and Rodney Vigers.
Pall bearers will be Rashaan Jones, Paul Vigers, Damien Arvie, Allen Arvie, Dwayne Gallien, and Dennis Prudhomme.
The family would like to extend a special thank you and appreciation for her caregivers Mr. Walter and Mrs. Judy Williams of Lake Charles.
