IOTA–On Friday, April 22, 2022, Olan R. Cart passed away at Landmark of Rayne at the age of 82. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery with Father Jude Thierry, Celebrant.
Olan served his country proudly in the United States Army during Viet Nam. He retired from the oilfield and enjoyed visiting, drinking coffee and talking politics. Olan will be remembered by his brother, Louis A. Cart and wife, Linda of Iota; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Angie Fernandez Cart; daughter, Maddie Cart; parents, Fernest and Nora Young Cart; and brothers, Samuel and Richard Cart.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Iota on Monday, April 25 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and again on Tuesday, April 26 from 8 a.m. until time of services. A Rosary will be prayed Monday evening at 6:30 p.m.
