EUNICE~It’s with the heaviest hearts that the family of Olga Manuel announces her sudden passing on Monday, December 18, 2017 in the comfort of her home at the age of 83.
A Celebration of Life was celebrated at 2:00pm on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial followed in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Msgr. Romero officiating.
Olga was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her especially her husband of sixty four years, Joe “J.E.” Manuel of Eunice; her son, Kirk Manuel of Moss Bluff; her daughter, Cindy Darbonne and husband, Horace of Basile; her two grandchildren, Jacques Darbonne of Basile and Katie Darbonne Maggio of Oberlin; and two great grandchildren, Baylor and Blair Maggio.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hackdaus and Winnie Manuel Fontenot.
At the request of the family, visitation was held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 9:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin recited a Rosary at 10:00 am Wednesday.
