EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Patrick “Paw Pat” Simon announces his passing on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at his home with loved ones by his side. He was 64. A Celebration of Life will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Chataignier. Burial will follow in the First Baptist Chataignier Cemetery with Pastor Gary Mitchell officiating.
Patrick, known as “Paw Pat”, worked in the oilfield for over 39 years. He was a Chairman of the Deacons at First Baptist Church in Chataignier and he enjoyed handy-man work, fishing and gardening. Patrick was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend and will forever be remembered by his wife of 42 years, Debbie Simon of Eunice; three sons, Russel Simon and Toby Simon, both of Eunice, and Jesse Simon and wife, Jeana of Florida; three brothers, Mike Simon and wife Janis of Lafayette, Steve Simon and wife, Sandy of Kaplan, and Tony Simon and wife, Angie of Denver, CO; three sisters, Joe LeJeune of Lafayette, Margaret Blumberg and husband, Dwaine of Arizona, and Linda Bollich and husband, Bill of Bossier City; nine grandchildren, Blake, Tristan, Nicholas, Brandon, Jackson, Jett, Gabriel, Elijah, and Ashton Simon; five great grandchildren, Avee, Ellie, Beau, Noah and one on the way; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Opal Keene Simon.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at First Baptist Church in Chataignier on Monday, May 21st from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm and on Tuesday, May 22nd from 8:00 am until services.
