EUNICE- It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the loss of their loved one, Pearl Manuel on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Oaklane Wellness and Rehab in Eunice at the age of 104. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 02, 2020 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Hampton Davis, Celebrant.
Pearl, a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend, will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her three sons, S.J. Manuel and wife, Lynda of Mesquite, Nevada, Patrick Manuel and wife, Debra, Timothy Manuel and wife, Carla, all of Eunice; eight grandchildren, Tammy Merrill, Ed Manuel, Brett Manuel, Kylie Doucet, Troy Gifford, Tracy Howes,Terry Thorton, and Brian Labbe; numerous great-grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Shelton J. Manuel, Sr.; parents, Lucuis and Edna Israel Fuselier; and siblings, Emily Fontenot, Lee Fuselier, Viale Fuselier, Harry Fuselier, Son Fuselier, Lanis Fuselier, Web Fuselier, and Sally Fontenot.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, January 1st from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and again on Thursday, January 2nd from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm evening by Deacon Chuck Ortego.
