EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Pearlie Thibodeaux Johnson announces her passing on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Eunice Manor surrounded by her loving family. She was 93.
A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Clement officiating.
Pearlie was a homemaker and devoted herself to the care of her family. She loved to travel, enjoyed having company and was quite the social butterfly when it came to entertaining people.
Pearlie also enjoyed gardening and flowers, and sewing all sorts, such as Mardi Gras costumes, uniforms, and clothing for her family.
Left to cherish her memory is her three sons, James Johnson and wife, Judy, Keith Johnson and wife, Mary, and Craig Johnson and wife, Debra, all of Eunice; six grandchildren, Todd, Tammy, Troy, Tiffany, Trey, and Christina; eleven great grandchildren, Ty, Johnny, Paige, Lathan, Wesley, Micah, Jaxx, Tarran, Erica, Macie, and Kayden; ten great-great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Hosea Johnson; parents, Felix and Emilizae Breaux Thibodeaux; grandchildren, Kayla Johnson and Jason Johnson; brother, Reilman Thibodeaux; and sisters, Hazel Thibodeaux and Allie Doucet.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, June 27th from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Friday, June 28th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Thursday evening.
