EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Rebecca Deaville announces her passing on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the Carpenter House in Lafayette. She was 65. A Celebration of Life will be Celebrated at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Pastor Barry Stephens officiating.
Rebecca, known as “Wheezie” by those closest to her, enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She also loved the outdoors, going hunting, fishing and camping. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her husband of 37 years, Rickey Deaville of Eunice; son, John Robert Watson, Jr. and wife, Tammy of New Iberia; daughters, Tammi Thibodeaux and husband, Donnie of Eunice, Ashley Simon and husband, Roland of Eunice; and Sondra Deaville of South Carolina; sister, Sandra Decker and husband, Gregory of Crowley; four grandchildren, Cody Bruton, Christopher Thibodeaux, Alanah Deaville, and Jacob Thibodeaux; three great grandchildren, Tiana Orlando, Eli Hayes Thibodeaux, and one on the way, Benson Scot Thibodeaux; as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Laurice Bertrand and Opal Perry Bertrand Faulk; brother, Johnny Bertrand; sister, Valarie Cantrell; and great granddaughter, Kyryn Zion Edwards.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, January 13th from 10 am until 10 pm, and again on Monday, January 14th, from 8:00 am until time of services.
