EUNICE-The family of Richard “Zeke” Vidrine are mourning the loss of their loved one who passed away on November 28, 2019 at the Acadian Medical Center in Eunice at the age of 73. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Hampton Davis officiating.
Richard, or “Zeke”, as everyone knew him, loved football and was an avid Saints fan. He most definitely enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him, especially his daughter, Nicole Vidrine of Lafayette; siblings, Dwayne Vidrine and significant other, Curt Fontenot of Eunice, Sheila Baldwin of Opelousas, and Melina West and husband, Michael of Eunice; three grandchildren, Chelsi Broussard, Judd Broussard, and Trevor Broussard; five great grandchildren, Adalyn Broussard, Ava Broussard, Branson Broussard, Braxon Broussard, and Jett Broussard; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Elizabeth Fontenot Vidrine; sisters, Flo Bellow, Barbara Roy, and Clara Thibodeaux; and stepmother, Dorothy “Dot” Vidrine.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, December 3rd from 8:00 am until time of services.
