It is with great sadness that the family of Roger “Bouley” Stevens announces his passing on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 3:44 a.m. at his residence in Eunice. He was 94.
A celebration of life will be celebrated on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the New Zion Baptist Church in Eunice with interment following at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Eunice. The Reverend Allen W. Ben will officiate. Visitation will be held Saturday from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the New Zion Baptist Church.
Roger was known at his church by all members, his singing, yard work, and spending time with his family and friends.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, especially his daughters Rena Steven of Eunice, Verlena Lafleur of Crowley; his brother Dudley (Janette) Stevens of Eunice, his sister Hazel Brown of Eunice, 16 grandchildren, and 50 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Edolia Stevens, his wife Myrtle Stevens, two sons Horace and Louis Stevens, two daughters Myrtle Thomas and Wanda Gallow, four brothers Gaven, Wilson, Calvin and Sam Stevens, two sisters Rose Stevens, and Alberta Williams and seven grandchildren.
Pall bearers will be Lee Stevens, David Stevens, Jonathon Lafleur, Paul Goodley, Leon Goodley and Paul Williams.
Frank Brothers Funeral Home in Eunice is in charge of all arrangements.
