IOTA~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Roland "Caddo" Lejeune, Sr. announces his passing on Monday, August 27, 2018 in the comfort of his home at the age of 89. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery with Father Jude Thierry Celebrant.
Caddo was a loving father, grandfather and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his two sons, Roland Joseph Lejeune, Jr and wife, Jacinda of Sulphur and Michael Wayne Lejeune and wife, Bobbie of Columbus, TX; his daughter, Phyllis Pousson and husband, Donald of Iota; his eight grandchildren, Noami Robinson, Blakelee Kibodeaux, Jason and Andrea Pousson, Harley Pousson, Kristyn Guidry, Alicia Truchard and Sarah Tydlacka; three great grandchildren, Dillian and Damon Guidry and Kayelynn Truchard; and one great grandchildren, Dax Guidry; as well as extended family and friends.
Preceded in death by his wife, Marie “Shin” Rachal Lejeune; great grandson, Caleb Pousson; parents, Everelle and Lucia Simar Lejeune; four sisters, Lela Gaspard, Rena Miller, Ruby Mott and Mary Jane Guidry.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Iota on Wednesday, August 29th from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Thursday, August 30th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be lead by friends at 6:00 pm Wednesday.
