EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Rose Mae Stelly Godeaux announces her passing on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at her home at the age of 84.
A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Brother Mike Quebedeaux and Dr. Patrick Melancon officiating.
Rose was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She loved cooking and was an excellent cook. She made a loving, warm home that welcomed everyone, especially her children and grandchildren. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart and she wanted everyone to know and love Him too. She was married to Nat Godeaux for sixty four years and together they raised a wonderful family that they were very thankful for and proud of.
She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her five daughters, Norma Jane Joubert and husband, Ray of Eunice, Pat Hagius and husband, Tommy of Iota, Gale Godeaux of Greenville, MS, Veronica Melancon and husband, Dr. Patrick of Chiang Mai, Thailand and Jackie Smith and husband, Dr. Chet of Covington; sister, Eula Mae Guillot of Scott; the joys of her life her twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Nat Godeaux; parents, Caliste and Edmasie Landry Stelly; and brother, Clesme Stelly.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, November 23rd from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Saturday, November 24th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Prayer Service will be held Friday at 7:00 pm.
