EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Roxie Ann Deshotel Douget announces her passing on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Acadian Medical Center at the age of 66. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Entombment will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Father Sensat, Celebrant.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her husband of 48 years, Louis Clifford Douget of Eunice; sons, Joey Douget and wife, Charisse, and Clifford Douget, all of Eunice; daughter, Katina Douget Fontenot and husband, George of Youngsville; brothers, Jay Deshotel and wife, Janell of Eunice, and Mike Deshotel and wife, Sundra of Morgan City; seven grandchildren, Symone Fontenot, Isacc Douget, Evie Fontenot, Adyson Fontenot, Victoria Douget, Eli Hebert, and Kora Douget; and one great granddaughter, Penelope Douget; as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Rosabell Vidrine Deshotel.
At the request of the family, no visitation will be held.
