EUNICE~It is with the heaviest hearts that the family of Shannah Dane' Fontenot announces her passing on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at the age 35. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Reed Cemetery with Father Billy Massie Celebrant.
Shannah will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her mother, Lucretia Cortina West and husband, Chad of Lanse Meg and father, Eddie Jay Fontenot and wife, Nicole of Duralde; her fiancé, Gerard Hanford of Lake Charles; paternal grandmother, Maxie Fontenot of Duralde; step grandfather, Evans West of Lanse Meg; siblings, Kelly Fontenot Landreneau and husband, Andre’ and there children, Ava, Ashton and Alec all of Eunice, Tyler Evans West of Lanse Meg and Savannah Rae Fontenot and her children Laikyn and Zander of Zumbrota, Minnesota; as well as extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Forrest Fontenot; maternal grandparents, Velma Cortina McCauley and Louis Cortina II and step grandmother, Mercedes D. West.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, July 18th from 10:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite at Rosary at 6:00 pm Wednesday.
