A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 2 p.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Crowley for Shirley Hebert, 83, who passed away on Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, at 10:10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette.
Fr. Brent Smith will be officiating for the services.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Monday, Feb. 11, at 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley. A Rosary will be recited on Monday at 6 o’clock in the evening in the funeral home chapel. Visitation will resume on Tuesday at 8 a.m. until time of services.
Survivors include four sons, Norman and wife Brenda Hebert of Kinder, Steve and wife Diana Hebert of Crowley, Glenn Hebert of Egan, and Bubba and wife Barbara Hebert of Iota; two daughters, Donna and husband Wendell Hebert of Rineyville, Kentucky, and Christina and husband Horace Doucet of Crowley; three brothers, Roger “Buddy” Stewart of Sulphur, Charles Stewart of Maxie and Anthony Stewart of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Ms. Hebert was preceded in death by her husband, George Hebert; and her parents, Buddy and Lula Bell W. Stewart.
Pallbearers for the service will be Michael Hebert, Norman Hebert II, Adam Doucet, Matthew Doucet, Jacob Doucet and Joshua Doucet.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Encore Nursing Home and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
